The kick-off event to a 2-month long tradition of celebrating D-Day in France will be broadcasting live from the Utah Beach Monument Commemoration starting June 6. Due to the public health situation, there will be reduced numbers present, but you can still join in on the fun virtually! D-Day Live’s Facebook is linked below, but you can also find the celebrations on Instagram and YouTube. If you do plan to join the celebrations remember that Normandy is 6 hours ahead of EDT, so if you plan to watch the ceremony live, please plan for 5:15 am EDT.

Its more than just one day of celebration...
While June 6th does mark the famous day when Allied troops arrived in Normandy, it is not the only day we honor the sacrifices endured during the Battle of Normandy. The Battle of Normandy lasted throughout the summer so there are celebrations through the Normandy area through August. D-Day Live will continue to cover these events so stay tuned!
